Today, the current outfall pipe from Skagen wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) discharges into Kattegat, via a sea pipe. As a result of extensive expansion of the Port of Skagen, it will not be possible to use that pipe in the future. Therefore, the client has decided to establish a new outfall pipe to Skagerrak. Present assignment includes the following main works: • Establishment of some 1,000 rm Ø630 PE onshore outfall pipe, from Ska-gen WWTP to Skagerrak • Establishment of some 1,500 rm sea pipe in territorial waters, including establishment of a concrete diffuser structure at a depth of approx. 15 metres. • Various reconnection works at Skagen WWTP.
