Procurement of PR services for the Olympic Games in Tokyo 2020
What: 30 days of Danish Export Promotion during the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Tokyo 2020. From 24 July to 9 August and from 25 August to 6 September 2020.
Why: To create awareness of Denmark and Danish strengths in order to boost export of Danish products and services. The Olympic and Paralympic Games is an international event with worldwide attention. Approx. 20.000-25.000 international journalists will visit Tokyo to cover the event and all related activities. Up to 1 million visitors are expected to visit Japan and follow the games.
How: Spectacular Danish pavilion on an exclusive location in Hibiya Park. Fun and relevant activities for Olympic visitors, international press and B2B contacts.
Denmark has been granted permission to use Tokyo's Hibiya Park as a platform for a major Danish export initiative during the Olympic Games 2020. A spectacular Danish pavilion will be erected with the aim of presenting the best Denmark has to offer, reaching out to the world press, the many visitors to the Olympic Games and Danish B2B contacts.
In connection with the above, VisitDenmark is searching for a full-service PR agency with the ability to handle a wide range of press activities and PR events held in connection with its scheduled B2C/B2B activities and events at the Danish National Official Hospitality House.
The task is to create awareness of and preference for Denmark and Danish enterprises internationally through a range of PR activities, such as development and distribution of press releases, production of press kit, planning, organising and execution of PR events, handling media enquiries on an ongoing basis etc.

All PR and press activities related to promoting Denmark at the Danish National Official Hospitality House are handled in close collaboration/liaison with VisitDenmark’s Head of Press.
The contract is expected to be awarded to one single supplier.
The total budget of 800.000 DKK or 13.094.790 JPY is fixed.
