Contract for GovTech in the Nordic and Baltic region to foster innovation in the Nordic-Baltic GovTech market
Technology is changing the way public services are being delivered, implemented and operated in the public sector. At the forefront of this change is an ecosystem of innovative technology start-ups and scale-ups, that can help governments deliver the levels of efficiency, convenience and innovation that citizens’ demand from public services.
'GovTech' is used as a collective term for tech companies providing innovative technological solutions and services to the public sector in areas such as administration, healthcare and environment, e.g. smart waste solutions, e-administration or telemedicine.
As a part of the Danish presidency of the Nordic Council of Ministers in 2020 the Nordic Council of Ministers for Digitalisation (MR-DIGITAL) decided to allocate funding for an analysis and two workshops on GovTech in the Nordic-Baltic region.
