Pre-feasibility Study on District Heating in Ukraine
TASKS TENDERED
PRE- FEASIBILITY STUDIES
The task is to develop pre-feasibility studies for three selected towns or areas in Ukraine, in cooperation with project partners. The studies will include:
• Analysis of possible renewable energy and waste energy resources that can be useful for district heating in the selected areas. Renewable energy includes, as a minimum, heat pumps with locally available cold sources, solar energy, geothermal energy, local available biomass that can be expected to be used sustainable, wind energy. The solutions to analyse in each town will be limited to the solutions requested by the local heat supply company or other local representative.
• Analysis of energy saving opportunities, including energy savings in the heating supply systems with possible savings in networks and heating stations as far as information is available in installations of the heat users. Possible positive combined effects of supply-side and demand-side measures should be considered (such as change in heat user installations to reduce forward and return temperatures) shall also be considered.
• Present with a report and with up to three online event the analysis and the results. This shall be presented for project partners, district heating managers, local leaders, and other representatives of the three local areas. The language will be English. During the events, translation will be organized by project partners (translation is not part of this tender). The report shall include an extended summary that can be published.
• Provide copies of data used for technical analysis for project partners, such as data files for computer programs used.
• Assist project partners in decisions on next steps including possible fund-raising.
• Participate in a webinar or online in a seminar in Denmark, presenting results of analysis and opportunities for greening heating in Ukraine.
A local assistant will be involved to collect local information for the analysis. The local assistant will be provided by the project partners and his/her wage or other costs is not included in this tender. Communication on local information for the analysis will be in English.
Summaries of the analysis will be made public as part of a resource library for greening the heating in Ukraine that the project partners will develop.
Planed time period: October – November 2022, if possible, work can start in September 2022. In case of problems in data collection, activities can continue until 15/12 2022.
